Decorated Gift Bag

I have been so inspired by the posts of Joy and Melanie at Everyday Cricut. They have been decorating their own gift bags and they are so cute. So I decided that I needed to start making some of my own.
I decorated this plain kraft bag with all supplies from Close to My Heart. The tag is from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and the stamp is from the coordinating sets that come with the cartridge.
The butterfy is an Irresistibles Miracle chipboard die and it is inked with the Olive ink pad. This coordinates well with the paper and ribbon from the Wings pack .
I can't wait to make some more gift bags.

I want to say right now that the Art Philosophy cartridge set with all the extras is the best investment for a cricut newbie or a seasoned veteran who has everything. It has so much to offer. Shapes, cards, 3-D flowers and bags, a font and so much more. Then you add the 3 stamp and chipboard shape sets that coordinate with cuts on the cartridge, you just can't beat the value. If you want to get this set click the the link from my blog to CTMH and you can order it on line and with that purchase you would qualify for 2 extra deals- the Dotty for You paper pack and the Stamp of the Month- each only $5.

Thanks for visiting.

National Scrapbook Day Crop

I am getting ready for a great crop this weekend at Paper Vineyard in Chandler AZ. This is not your average crop either it is for 12 hours of crafting fun. It is also a Cricut Swarm and I love my Cricut and getting together with friends to learn something new. Every time I go to these I learn a new trick or tip or just something I hadn't tried. I hope that you are all spending time this Saturday making something with friends.
If you are in the Chandler area- go to Paper Vineyard to check out the great supplies and crop room.
I am sorting and packing to be ready and this sure is hard, what do you leave behind?  I have such a hard time not bringing everything, I always look like I am moving into the store to stay for a long time.

Hope to see you there.

Teacher Appreciation gifts

Happy Wednesday!  Our busy week is almost over.  I have been crafting but not posting so today I have a couple of projects I am working on.  Next week is Teacher Appreciation week and I have been working on gifts for my daughter's teacher and principle.

This is the gift pack for Mrs. Anderson, she loves frogs so I cut this one at 3.5inches from the Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge and the background paper is from the DCWV Grade School paper pack.  I also used a Wobble to attach the frog on the front.

This is the back side but I didn't embellish it because it is cute all on its own.  The actual card board container is a 2 drink holder from Sonic and they gave them to me for free.  Who doesn't love free and being able to repurpose something.  We are filling this with a drink, some candy and some teacher related items.

This next one is the same idea for the principle but decorated differently.  This one uses paper from the same paper pack as above  DCWV Grade school

The apple is from Just Because card cartridge from Cricut.  I love this apple, I have used it so many times.  It is easy to assemble and just too cute.  I distressed the edges of the paper with white ink to give it a chalkboard look to it.  I hope they both like them, I know I would.

Hope you have a great rest of your week.  I am getting my supplies ready for a great crop this weekend but I will try to post again before the weekend.
 Ta Ta For Now,
